The traditional stock design is very comfortable to shoot. There Boltcutter broadheads fly extremely close to the feild points, sight changing is minimal. Practicing good habits from the start will make safety like second nature to you. 3.Always practice setting the safety after cocked and before taking the cocking aid off and putting a bolt on the rail to shoot. 2.Do not let your foot slide out of the sturrip while cocking the bow, it will thump you in the chest kinda painfully.
I have a few words of warning: 1.Once sighted in, do not use the same aim piont, you will eventually split an arrow. Matter of fact, most of their acessories are not that bad on prices. The only thing that could possibly make this a better kit woul be to add the stringer and a extra string and for the same price, although the extras are not expensive. I added the S5 string suppression system, and the Disipator Bar, that come standard on all other Excalibur Crossbow's. I added a few things for my own peace of mind, for noise reduction and added dryfire protection. In my honest opinion one couldn't go wrong with the Excalibur Axiom SMF Kit. pull draw weight is a joy to pull with the included rope cocker. Set up properly, it is very accurate from 10 to 50 yards out. The second time out praticing, I came very very close to robbinhooding a arrow, and had such tight groups that I had stripped a vane off of another arrow. Inital set up of this bow only took about an hour and I was sighted in and shooting. Their warrinty and tech support system are suposed to be top notched, although I only had to get a couple of questions answered. Excalibur is unpresidented in power, accuracy, and quality workmanship. This is the best entry level crossbow kit out on the market today. Pound for pound this kit can not be beat for the price one pays.
